  • Emerald Lake: The most alluring aspect of Yercaud is its big yet natural lake very popularly known as the Emerald Lake. Surrounded by some wonderful cloud-peaked hills and a well persevered garden on its banks, this lake is a feast for the eyes.

  • Pagoda point: Pagoda point or pyramid point is a viewpoint located on the eastern part of Yercaud hills. It was named the Pyramid point as it is shaped by four piles of stones which are arranged in such a way. It is said to be built by the local tribes and now there is a Rama temple located between the piles of stones.

  • Botanical garden: Any tourist who is interested in gods gift to this planet, the wondrous flora, and in knowing about various species of plants must make it a point to visit the orchid garden and the green house in the Botanical garden.

  • Anna Park: Another important place of visit in Yercaud is the Anna Park which is located near the lake. This park has a collection of the natural species of plants and trees seen around Shevaroy hills.

  • Shevaroy Hills: Perched at a height of 1620 m near the Salem district of Tamil Nadu in Yercaud, the Shevaroy Hills are a popular tourist spot in the region. Boasting of magnificent views of lush green meadows, towering trees, dense woods and mighty hills, the hills were formerly known as Servarayan Hills which later got anglicized to ‘Shevaroy’.

  • Tippery Viewpoint: Situated at the Southernmost end of Yercaud, the Tippery Viewpoint can be reached by taking the Tippery Road en route which one is likely to come across some breathtaking views. Elephant Tooth Rocks, which are said to be the remains of some meteorites which fell on the face of Earth, can be seen and enjoyed from the Tippery Point.

  • Annamalaiyar Temple: One of the best attractions in Yercaud hills, the Annamalaiyar Temple viewpoint offers a scenic view of all the hills surrounding the Servaroyan Temple along with coffee plantations, orange groves, and spice gardens. The temple is a very simple and beautiful structure comprising of small and moderate towers that are adorned with idols and painted in a variety of colors.

  • Karadiyur Viewpoint: Karadiyur Viewpoint is a vertical cliff which offers an exquisite view of the Mettur Dam and the valley and is also is an amazing picnic spot. Situated in the Karadiyur Village, the viewpoint lies at a distance of 12 km from the town of Yercaud. This region got its name due to the presence of a large number of sloth bears in the past that are not present here now.

  • Shevaroy temple: The Shevaroy temple is situated on highest point of the flat-topped Shevaroy hills and is mainly dedicated to Lord Shevaroyan. The temple is built out of a narrow inky black cave which is complete and airtight. The idols of Lord Shevaroyan and Goddess Kaveri are placed inside it.

  • Silk Farm: An interesting place to be is the silk farm of Yercaud. It is located very near to the Lady's seat. Visiting the silk farm is sure to be a memorable and cognizant experience for youngsters.

  • Sri Chakra Maha Meru Temple: The world's biggest Sri Chakra Maha Meru Temple comprises a three-dimensional pyramid on the temple which when viewed from the top, takes the form of Sri Chakra.   • Sri Raja Rajeshwari Temple: One of the major attractions for visitors in Yercaud, Sri Raja Rajeshwari Temple is dedicated to Raja Rajeshwari who is said to be the Goddess of all Gods. It is believed according to Hindu belief that one can achieve success and wealth by offering to devote oneself to the Goddess whole-heartedly.

  • Deer Park: Deer Park is a beautiful urban park in Yercaud that is surrounded by the beautiful Emerald Lake. Other than deer, you can also spot beautiful peacocks, guinea pigs, pigeons, rabbits, ducks and other creatures here.

  • Orchidarium: Spread over 18 hectares of land area, National Orchidarium also called the Orchidarium, is situated in Yercaud and was established in the year 1963. Boasting of around 3000 trees and 1800 shrubs, it is one of the most popular tourist spots in the area.

  • Kottachedu Teak Forest: Kottachedu Teak Forest is an extensive forest area, 11 km from Yercaud that was once occupied by the hill tribes. It is believed that the tribals vacated the area after a major plague hit the region. Later, the government utilized it by extensively planting teak wood trees in the area.

  • Norton’s Bungalow: Perched on top of a mountain in Yercaud, Norton’s Bungalow is one of the oldest bungalows in the region. It is believed to be the residence of an old criminal lawyer.

  • yan Temple: At a height of 5326 ft., Servaroyan Temple is one of the highest temples in the region which is also a cave temple. Presided by Lord Servaroyan - the local deity of the place, the holy place also has an idol of Goddess Kaveri. Lord Seraroyan is considered to be the God of the hills while Goddess Kaveri is considered to be the Goddess of River Cauvery.
